Where Fashion and Art Converge

Granted rare access to the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation’s holdings, Jason Wu studied the artist’s "Hoarfrost" series (1974–76) and "Airport Suite" (1974), works defined by layered fabric, solvent-transferred images, and collage. These pieces directly inform the silhouettes, textures, and surface treatments of the "Collage" collection, in which Wu reimagines Rauschenberg’s radical materiality through the lens of contemporary fashion.
